JOB PURPOSE

The Pharmacy Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supervising the work of Pharmacy Assistants and Pharmacy Technicians as well as performing the work of a Pharmacy Technician.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the New Brunswick College of Pharmacists and licensed to practice in New Brunswick.
  • Two years of previous experience performing duties of a Pharmacy Technician is required. Must have demonstrated supervisory ability.
  • Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
  • Ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Good work record.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Pharmacy Coordinator is responsible for:

  • Coordinating and supervising the work of Pharmacy Assistants and Pharmacy Technicians
  • Performing checking functions and clinical support duties
  • Coordinating and supervising Pharmacy Technician student placements
  • Participating in performance management, certification and interview processes of Pharmacy Assistants and Pharmacy Technicians
    Acquiring, preparing, checking and distributing medications and pharmaceutical products.
