SCHEDULE: Day, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy Services, the Regional Quality and Safety Manager plans, evaluates, harmonizes, coordinates and manages pharmacy-related activities to ensure quality services at all Network points of service. The regional manager does the following: establishes and implements policies and procedures in accordance with laws, regulations, standards of practice and Accreditation Canada, as well as Vitalité Health Network policies and procedures; plans activities in line with the strategic plan of the Pharmacy Department, the Network and identified needs; ensures the required follow-up on the Pharmacy Department's risk management and quality program; oversees initiatives aimed at the safe use of medications; coordinates continuous quality improvement activities, including the implementation of Accreditation Canada standards. The Regional Manager also participates in regional and provincial committees and working groups, supervises and manages regional pharmacy coordinators, and works closely with local chief pharmacists and assistant managers to plan, implement and evaluate programs and services.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Undergraduate degree in pharmacy;
- Certificate or diploma in health science management/leadership;
- Master's degree or one-year residency in hospital pharmacy or management is an asset;
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in hospital pharmacy;
- Experience with management or supervisory responsibilities is an asset;
- Strong management skills, including planning, program development and evaluation, conflict resolution, human resources management, and problem-solving and analysis;
- Ability to use evidence-based data in decision making;
- Ability to build productive partnerships and appreciate counterparts;
- Strong sense of responsibility and ability to delegate tasks and responsibilities;
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize assigned tasks;
- Excellent coaching skills;
- Participatory leadership style focused on clients and outcomes that inspires commitment, respect, compassion and equity;
- Commitment to change with the ability to manage it with a positive attitude;
