Return to Work Facilitator

We provide safe and health workplaces, as well as provide return to work programs and benefits to workers and their dependents.
Role Responsibilities
- Provides education to workplace parties on their roles and responsibilities under RTW legislation, policies and procedures.
- Utilizes problem-solving skills to assist the workplace parties in identifying creative solutions to problems that are impeding the workplace reintegration process.
- Develops, implements and monitors individualized return-to-work plans that bridge the gap between the worker's abilities and job requirements.
- Discusses with health care providers the development of injury management plans.
- Educates and informs employers on their overall status of claim costs, PRIME impacts and trends with WorkplaceNL for purposes of supporting effective RTW programming and outcomes.
- Develops RTW presentations and webinars.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- University degree, preferably in health care, social sciences or a related discipline, with two years relevant experience. Relevant experience may include promoting awareness and delivering education sessions, mediation/negotiation, dispute resolution and return to work planning.
- Certification from a disability management program would be an asset.
- Must have well-developed organizational, analytical and problem-solving abilities, combined with a demonstrated knowledge of Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation legislation, policies and procedures. An understanding of the roles that government, industry and labor play in the overall workers' compensation system is also required.
- A vehicle and valid driver's license are also requirements of this position.
