The Department of Social Development is seeking individuals to join the Adult Community Resources team as Liaison Officers with Central Office, Fredericton. Alternate work locations may be considered with a documented remote work agreement.

As a member of the Adult Community Resources team, the successful candidate will be responsible to provide consultation to the assigned nursing homes to ensure quality health care service is provided to clients. The successful candidate will also be responsible for inspecting and licensing nursing homes, monitoring financial and operational aspects of all services provided in the nursing homes, and investigating incidents and complaints concerning care of residents and operation of nursing homes. The successful candidate will participate in various working committees or projects at divisional, departmental and provincial levels. Other duties may be assigned as required. Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite is required.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in nursing and a minimum of four (4) years related work experience such as: experience working as a registered Nurse, experience in geriatrics or working with adult clients in a nursing setting, managing a nursing program or project management OR Bachelor's degree in nursing with a minimum of six (6) years related experience such as: experience working as Registered Nurse, experience in geriatrics or working with adult clients in a nursing setting, managing a nursing program or project management. Knowledge of the health care system in New Brunswick is required. The successful candidate must hold or be eligible for active registration with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick.

Written and spoken competence in English AND French is required for some vacancies while other vacancies require written and spoken competence in English. Please state your language capability.

ASSET QUALIFICATION: Preference may be given to candidates that demonstrate experience working in the long-term care sector.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENT: Travel throughout the province is required and candidates must have valid driver's license and their own means of transportation.
