SummaryBell Media is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and supervise a team of television production technicians for Noovo Info and CTV Montreal. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of television production, including automated control rooms and new production methods, as well as significant experience in team management and managing complex projects. He or she will be responsible for the team's performance and the daily delivery of news bulletins, on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and mentor a team of television production technicians.
- Plan, organize, and control the team's daily operational activities.
- Define and implement efficient processes and procedures to optimize performance.
- Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines.
- Ensure the quality of work performed by the team.
- Identify and resolve technical and operational issues, including resolving control room problems.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective coordination.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and technologies.
- Recruit, train, and develop team members.
- Technical training or college diploma related to television production.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar role, including 5 years of experience in technical production management for news bulletins or news programs.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of television production equipment and software.
- Have a good understanding of automated production control rooms.
- Knowledge of new television production methods.
- Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- In the course of their duties, this person will be required to interact with French & English speaking stakeholders across Canada
