As part of the Corporate Financial Planning team, the Financial Modeling Specialist will assist in the financial modelling and evaluation services required by the organization to support the business development process, as well as the long-term strategic planning and business planning processes.

Key functions include:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex financial models to support business decision-making.
• Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and ensure accuracy in financial models.
• Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
• Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to assess potential risks and opportunities.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

The ideal teammate will have:

• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, or a related field is required.
• A professional accounting designation such as Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), OR Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus in Accounting, Financial Planning or Finance
• Eight years of related experience, in areas such as financial modelling, reporting, analysis, financial statements, business process
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and ideally experience in financial modeling software.
• Demonstrated understanding of the interconnections between financial statements and the integration of financial and operational data.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for identifying trends and insights.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Demonstrated strong communication and presentation skills, effectively conveying complex information.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Demonstrated curiosity, consistently seeking new insights and opportunities for improvement
• Comfortable working directly with senior leadership in a fast-paced environment

An equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be modified.

An Eligibility List generated from this competition may be used to fill future vacancies at the same level within a period of up to 12 months.
