On the Bell Business Markets team, you'll be a vital part of making innovation happen for enterprise-scale customers. You'll deliver advanced solutions in areas such as IoT, Mobility/5G, Cloud, Cyber Security, Voice, Collaboration & Contact Centre and Internet & Private Networks.

Summary

Reporting to the Senior Manager, the incumbent is responsible for the architecture, technical design, and integration of security and LAN/WAN solutions that meet the needs of large enterprise clients.

Key Responsibilities

Governance and Architecture:
• Maintain the enterprise's master needs plan.
• Integrate different technology layers into a global architecture.
• Understand the evolution of the IT market and its impact on the business.
• Provide technological leadership in new projects.
• Participate in key IT governance stages.

Technical Authority:
• Lead the virtual technical team assigned to a client or project.
• Supervise all IT projects and provide direction and recommendations.
• Lead the delivery of important and complex projects.
• Serve as a technological reference.
• Validate the delivery strategy for complex projects.
• Participate in the resolution of architectural problems.
• Oversee the evolution of the project scope until delivery and adapt the strategy accordingly.
• Design networking solutions that meet the needs of the business.
• Produce diagrams and technical specifications for the implementation of solutions.
• Tasks will primarily focus on IT security: firewall, intrusion detection and prevention, content filtering, antivirus, anti-spam, data loss prevention, information and event management, and security awareness training.
• Support the integration of activities related to security and LAN/WAN and SD-WAN networks.
• Produce plans for the deployment and validation of new solutions, as needed.
• Recommend upgrades, improvements, or technological changes to maintain a functional and efficient network infrastructure.
• Produce and write technical reports on demand for the client or management.

RFPs and Pre-sales:
• Draft service offers, participate in their drafting, or ensure their coordination to guarantee the quality of documents produced on time and in accordance with the technical and legal requirements of the client and Bell.
• Analyze RFPs.
• Participate in go/no-go decisions.
• Lead business proposals for professional services (strategy, writing, coordination, quality assurance, pricing).
• Manage and maintain the documentary structure (documents, project sheets, CVs).

Critical Qualifications
  • Minimum eight (8) years of experience in the telecommunications field.
  • Bachelor's degree in telecommunications engineering or computer science, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of IT security, LAN/WAN networks, IP/MPLS service, wireless technologies (WLAN), and SD-WAN.
  • Excellent knowledge of IP and SD-WAN networks.
  • Professional certifications from major manufacturers.
  • Experience in customer service and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in pre-sales and RFP management.
  • Understanding of the government RFP market in professional services and business issues: knowledge of the competitive context and specific challenges.
  • English required: Production of documents in English.
