Fundy Trail Provincial Park is one of New Brunswick's crown jewels. Spanning 2,559 hectares along the southern coast, the park features a stunning 30 km parkway with breathtaking views of the world-renowned Bay of Fundy. Open seasonally from mid-May to mid-October, it offers visitors an unforgettable chance to connect with nature and history.

Fundy Trail Provincial Park is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Sales and Service Attendant Supervisor to lead our front-line sales team and oversee the daily operations of our East and West Kiosks. This pivotal role ensures that every visitor's journey begins with a smooth, welcoming, and memorable entry experience while maintaining efficient and effective park operations.

What you will do

Reporting to the Assistant Park Manager, the successful candidate will play a key leadership role in overseeing the park entrance program by managing kiosk operations and supervising the sales and service team. As the first point of contact for our visitors, this position is essential in creating a positive and inviting atmosphere, ensuring guests feel welcomed, informed, and excited about their visit. The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing daily kiosk operations and ensuring high standards of efficiency and customer service
  • Providing visitors with information about the park, its facilities, activities, and nearby attractions
  • Supervising the sale of park day/season entrance passes and assist as needed
  • Ensuring a professional, friendly, and welcoming experience for all guests
  • Handling visitor inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and efficiently
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times
  • Onboarding, training, and mentoring kiosk staff to deliver exceptional service
  • Developing and managing staff schedules, always ensuring adequate coverage
  • Conducting regular staff meetings to communicate updates, expectations, and park changes
  • Providing ongoing guidance, feedback, and performance evaluations
  • Ensuring staff are knowledgeable about all park attractions, activities, and regulations
  • Ensuring all team members present themselves in a professional and well-kept manner
  • Relocating staff as needed to support park operations
  • Tracking and reporting visitor statistics and key operational data.
  • Overseeing cash handling, refunds, reconciling daily transactions, and preparing and verifying deposits
  • Managing and restocking kiosk supplies, including brochures, printer materials, and forms
  • Monitoring financial reports and adhering to budget limits
  • Serving as the park expert for Parks NB software, including CAMIS, Lightspeed, and Global Point of Sale systems
  • Promoting and enforcing health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Active involvement in park committees such as the Joint Health and Safety Committee, contributing to the park's ongoing improvement
  • Ensuring staff are up to date with WorkSafe New Brunswick
  • Troubleshooting and resolving any Kiosk technology or operational issues
  • Working closely with park management and other departments to support operations
  • Assisting in the coordination of special events, group tours, and peak visitor periods
  • Preparing weekly activity reports and communicating equipment issues accordingly
  • Attending weekly supervisor meetings and contributing to seasonal work planning.
  • Ensuring kiosk areas are always clean and securing buildings when required
  • Supporting and leading staff in maintaining a positive and productive work environment
  • Occasionally assisting with cleaning duties as needed
  • Performing other related tasks as assigned

Work Environment

  • Working up to 40 hours per week
  • Please note that this position requires variable and extended hours - shifts may include evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Light to moderate lifting
  • Uniform provided

Need to have

  • Completion of grade 10 or equivalent education
  • Minimum of 3 years of related work experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel)
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license as issued by the Province of New Brunswick
  • Adaptable and flexible with excellent communication and leadership skills
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered
  • Some positions require spoken competence in English and French. Other positions require spoken competence in either English or in French only. Please state your language capability.

Wage

$23.72 per hour
