Placement Description: The Marketing Summer Student will organize and deliver the 2025 Summer Buy Local For Good Tour, coordinating promotional activities at events, farmers' markets, and strategic initiatives. Responsibilities include developing a tour schedule aligned with the Local Food & Beverages Strategy, promoting local food and beverages while traveling across the province in a branded vehicle, and engaging with visitors and residents at Farmer Markets. The role also involves creating live social media content to boost awareness and engagement, executing marketing tactics, collecting data for post-activity reports, and supporting local partnerships.
This role offers an opportunity for skills development with career-focused trainings, self-development workshops, and personalized mentorship.

Qualifications:

• Language requirement: Bilingual
• Post-secondary student in Business Administration, Marketing, Journalism, Media, Arts & Culture, or Communications
• A valid driver's license is essential

Skills/Highlights: This role requires good judgment, critical thinking, and client service skills, as you will be representing our province with the industry partners, agencies, and communities/regions you communicate with. This position requires extensive travel in-province, including some work during evenings and weekends. A knowledge of safe driving procedures is mandatory. Must possess skills in social media content creation, including filming short videos for platforms like Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
