Location: Campbellton, Edmundston, Fredericton, Saint John, or Moncton. Other locations in New Brunswick may be considered based on operational needs.

Salary: $22.00/hour
Hours per week: 36.25
Placement Duration: May ¿ August 2025
Department: Post-Secondary Training and Labour (PETL) ¿ New Brunswick Public Library Service (NBPLS)
Placement Description: This experiential learning opportunity is designed to offer direct experience with library work in varied settings. Students can gain professional experience with library programming for all ages, collection development, an overview of library management, marketing, and partnership development. Students will work directly with NBPLS staff to gain direct experience with library work in varied settings and learn how library services are offered to the public. There will be an opportunity to work directly with the public.
This role offers a cohort experience designed to help you build connections and gain tailored insights.
Qualifications:

• Language requirement: Ideally bilingualism in French and English, but with some flexibility
• Completed some post-secondary courses
• Interested in working with public libraries

Skills/Highlights: Client-service, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
