The Department of Social Development is currently seeking an individual to join the central transition team as a Homelessness Consultant in the Southeast Zone.
As a member of the central transition team the successful candidate will be representing the department's Northern Zone perspective. This includes working to develop and enhance an extreme weather response with community partners and municipalities; working with the Central office transition team to execute the Shelter funding framework; managing service agreements, monitoring of benchmarks, act as a liaison between service providers and the transition team, providing input and direction for future state shelters to housing focus, trauma informed, client centered.
This position will function as a dedicated frontline resource for Homelessness for the Southeast Zone interacting with municipal leaders, developing community partners and managing all outreach services, and other homelessness operation service agreement in the zone as well as participating in community committees work as it relates to homelessness.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in a related discipline with at least three (3) years related work experience in homelessness or the non-profit sector, OR a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with at least five (5) years related experience work experience in homelessness, case management or the non-profit sector.
Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate must be able to transport themselves throughout the zone.

Salary: $64,974- $90,740 per annum
