Placement Description: The Centre of Excellence for Language Learning (COE-LL) is seeking an individual to support the Centre's initiatives and further its mandate of advancing language education and engagement within schools and districts. The intern will engage in hands-on projects, such as developing language learning resources, supporting event coordination, and collaborating on initiatives that promote bilingualism. They will have the opportunity to work directly with educators, students, and community partners to gain real-world experience in language education.
Responsibilities include communications, such as newsletter and success stories development, website support, and partner engagement. The intern will also collaborate with the COE-LL team to collect, collate, and develop a report for the Innovation Network of schools on their innovation projects, as well as a report for Innovation grant schools and projects. The successful candidate will assist the Centre with the development of virtual and experiential learning resources and activities, including a focus on the collection of enrichment activities for the French as a Second Language for Parents tab.
This role offers an opportunity for skills development and hands-on experience.
Qualifications:
- Language requirement: Bilingual
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program related to the field (e.g., Business, Communications, Education, etc.)
Skills/Highlights: The ideal candidate should possess strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, and strong organizational and time management skills. The candidate should also demonstrate problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, as well as adaptability and willingness to learn. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is an asset.
