Placement Description: Are you passionate about making positive changes to our environment? The Authorizations Branch of the Department of Environment and Local Government is looking for a motivated individual to help effect positive changes to how our province ensures the protection of our environment across a large variety of industrial sectors, which include sectors such as drinking water, wastewater, quarries, composting, pulp and paper, and more. You will assist the Authorizations Branch with audits, template development, and data entry for various industrial sectors and help develop various documents for the remediation program.
This opportunity offers an opportunity for skills development with career-focused trainings, self-development workshops, and personalized mentorship.
Qualifications:

• Language requirement: English or Bilingual
• Enrolled in a university with a focus in engineering

Skills/Highlights: The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, as well as written and oral communication skills with an ability to communicate technical information. Experience in project management is considered an asset as you will be involved in multiple working groups throughout your placement and will be involved in various project phases. You should be well organized and be able to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Teams is considered an asset.
