Funding Supervisor - Dealer Finance Centre
Full-time permanent role located at 120 King Street West, Hamilton, ON, Canada
The Funding Supervisor is a people-manager position that supervises and controls a Funding unit for a specific area or function within the Bank, specifically, in a Dealer Finance Centre. The incumbent is responsible for meeting negotiated goals which include customer and employee satisfaction goals, human resource management and operational effectiveness objectives. The Funding Supervisor provides leadership and guidance to a team of funding staff in a manner consistent with the overall Domestic Bank strategy of developing and leading a customer-focused culture while achieving business line revenue and ROEE objectives. This includes a primary responsibility for leading, managing, coaching and training others by focusing on Customer Service disciplines.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Provides excellent customer experience by taking responsibility for and ensuring the team successfully meets Service Level Agreements by assessing and assignment of the queue.
- Identify opportunities for team members to achieve key performance indicators and product cycle times by providing relevant feedback and coaching during process observations, coaching, skill building and daily huddles.
- Complete all required daily management reviews/audits, track results and effectively resolve issues.
- Effectively manage the escalation queue within authority limit, documenting decisions, and escalating to manager when needed.
- Responding to requests for information / clarification and providing explanations and rationales for all aspects of work.
- Maintain an up to date knowledge of all business changes such that information can be relayed to team members, improving the day-day efficiency of the Centre.
- Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage subordinates and to liaise with other areas of the Bank;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Ability to work in a face paced productivity environment;
- Strong knowledge of legislative, governance or regulatory rules, Anti-Money Laundering/Anti-Terrorist guidelines;
- Thorough knowledge of the operational guidelines / practices in the division and how it aligns with overall Bank processes / procedures;
- Thorough proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
- College or University degree preferred or minimum 2 years related experience in a position of similar responsibility;
- Knowledge of the Automotive Financing industry lines would be beneficial.

Working Conditions
- Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard operating hours: Monday – Friday 7:30am to 6:30pm, Saturday 8:30am to 5pm. Shift may vary Monday - Saturday. Open most statutory holidays. 37.5 hours per week.
- Monitors and reviews reports/documentation for a significant part of the day.
- Number of direct reports: 8-15
- Work can be repetitious, with pressure to meet defined deadlines. Month-end driven with seasonality, overtime may be required during peak period.
- Constant telephone interruptions.
