Getting Everyone Online (GEO NS) is a non-profit organization established in 2022 with the mission to ensure digital inclusion for all residents of the province. Recognizing the essential role of internet access in today's society, GEO Nova Scotia collaborates with a diverse network of partners to provide individuals and families, particularly those facing barriers to digital access, with the necessary technology, internet connectivity, and digital skills. Through its efforts, GEO Nova Scotia addresses the challenges of digital exclusion by providing resources and support to those who need it most. By equipping individuals with the tools and skills required to navigate the digital landscape, the organization empowers them to access information, services, and opportunities that can improve their quality of life. GEO NS's commitment to digital inclusion reflects dedication to social equity and community development within the province.

As GEO NS transitions from startup phase to a robust, structured, sustainable organization, the organization is in need of a dynamic and strategic Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the next phase of development and impact. GEO NS envisions a transformational leader who has a track record of guiding organizations through rapid growth and capacity building.

Reporting to the Board, the CEO is responsible for providing visionary leadership, strategic oversight, administration, program delivery, and operational excellence to GEO NS. They will play a critical role in managing internal operations, strengthening key external partnerships, and ensuring financial sustainability. The CEO will work closely with the Board of Directors, staff, funders, and key stakeholders to drive the organization's mission and long-term success. The CEO continues to build and foster a culture of compassion, integrity, inclusiveness, and making significant impact in the community. They provide guidance and support to the GEO NS team, ensuring mentorship, team cohesiveness, and accountability to community partners and funders.

A strategic thinker with significant passion and drive for digital inclusion, the CEO is a compassionate and progressive leader with a strong focus on building organizational capacity in support of continued growth and community impact. They are an exceptional communicator and human-centric executive leader with experience building an organization through the implementation of effective systems and processes. The CEO has an innate ability to cultivate and nurture critical relationships at the local and provincial levels, driving impact through innovation.

The successful candidate has an undergraduate or master's degree (or combination of education and experience) and brings a minimum of 10 years of leadership experience, ideally with strong knowledge or experience in the non-profit sector. They have proven experience building and scaling strong and sustainable enterprises that connect deeply with mission and vision to maximize impact for their community. The CEO brings strong EQ, business and financial acumen and is adept at fostering a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture where teams are empowered and inspired.
