Placement Description: The Emergency Management Branch (EMB) within the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure is seeking a Business Student to support financial and administrative processes related to disaster financial assistance claims. This role provides hands-on experience in government financial operations, emergency management and interdepartmental coordination. The successful candidate will be involved in researching, verifying, and organizing financial documentation to support applications for financial assistance under federal and provincial programs. The student will also contribute to the preparation of financial reports, data analysis and performance evaluation, while becoming familiar with emergency response activities.
This role offers an opportunity for skills development with career-focused trainings, self-development workshops, and personalized mentorship.
Qualifications:
- Language requirement: English or Bilingual
- Currently enrolled in a Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or related program
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
