The Office of the Vice-President Academic and Provost at Mount Saint Vincent University invites applications for the position of Coordinator, Academic Affairs.
The Coordinator, Academic Affairs supports the effective academic administration and operations of the Vice-President Academic & Provost Office. This position coordinates and supports multiple University level committees and other processes delineated in the full-time and part-time faculty collective agreements. The Coordinator is also involved in faculty recruitment activities and faculty orientation and also has responsibility for a variety of administrative tasks, including the forecasting and monitoring of several budget portfolios. The incumbent takes guidance from the Manager, Faculty & Staff Relations on matters pertaining to the administration of MSVUFA and CUPE agreements.
The Coordinator works in a complex environment that requires a high degree of confidentiality, sensitivity, and responsiveness. This position requires a clear understanding of the Provost's portfolio and its strategic priorities in order to maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships.
We are looking for someone with an Undergraduate Degree in a related field along with at least 3 years of experience. Those who have considerably more than 3 years' experience in a related role (within post-secondary would be considered an asset) are encouraged to apply. An appropriate combination of education and experience will be considered.
Written and oral communication skills for this position must be of the highest quality, and exceptional attention to detail is required. You will be expected to interact knowledgeably and courteously with members of Senate, the Board of Governors, senior administration, faculty, staff, and other community members, hence a dedication to building strong relationships is required. Candidates should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and have an aptitude for, or previous experience, using business enterprise systems such as Colleague and Sharepoint.
Classification: Full-Time MPA Level 3 Position
Salary: $58,295 per annum [Step Progression: $58,295 to $70,925]
