Job Description:

The Technology Controls Office supporting Canadian Personal Banking Technology and Enterprise Digital (CPBTED) delivers on the mandate by following these core principles:

  • Communicate risks and issues clearly, succinctly, understandably, and in a manner that is focused and appropriate to the audience.
  • Support technology teams in their efforts to resolve risks and issues.
  • Provide transparent and timely reporting (where necessary) to support appropriate decision-making.
  • Support to CPBTED technology and non-technology teams in the end-to-end Audit process which includes attending relevant meetings, review and challenge of audit scope, findings issued and audit report.

DESCRIPTION:

  • The ideal candidate will have a mixture of skills in Risk Management and Process Improvement and a greater focus on Reporting and Data Analytics.
  • Requires ongoing consultations with internal and external partners such as Technology Asset Owners (TAOs), Business Information Security Officers (BISOs), Internal Audit and more.
  • Prioritization and planning for resolution/mitigation of risk exceptions.
  • Track/report/monitor oversee technology risk for existing and emerging risks.
  • Work with TAOs and other partners to ensure teams are compliant with Technology Risk Standards.
  • May be required to support Audit engagements.

RESPONSIBILITIES: (may be individual or part of the larger team working groups):

  • Develop / provide / contribute to complex reporting, analysis, and assessments at the functional or enterprise level.
  • Look for opportunities to automate reporting / process improvements.
  • Track and monitor and follow-up on progress of risk control gaps and self-identified control gaps and other IT Risk initiatives.
  • Preparation of IT Risk Dashboards and Executive reporting
  • Contribute to Report Automation
  • Investigate and track any issues identified in the monthly Technology & Cybersecurity Risk Reporting and Platforms & Technology Operational Governance Report (PTOG)
  • Work with other team members towards achieving quick turnarounds on initiatives and common goals.
  • Build relationships with various internal/external partners to Customer Platforms

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Skilled in Data Analysis and manipulation of large volumes of data
  • Produce specialized reports, dashboards and/or scorecards on an as needed/defined frequency.
  • Use various methodologies to generate impactful reporting/visualizations/insights to assist with prioritization and remediation of various risks.
  • Validate the quality and integrity of data included in reporting packages and dashboards.
  • General understanding of technology issues
  • Understanding of the concepts and practices of IT risk management, IT process and related controls is an asset.
  • Effectively interact with individuals across the organization and at various levels
  • Detailed oriented, strong analytical, organization and problem-solving skills
  • Prioritize and manage own workload to deliver quality results and meet assigned timelines.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • University degree
  • MS Office Suite of software (e.g, Excel, Power Query, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook and SharePoint), Power BI and Tableau. VBA an asset.
  • Archer experience is an asset.
  • Previous risk management/Technology Controls Office (TCO) experience is an asset.
  • Previous Audit experience is an asset.
  • CISA and or other risk related certifications an asset.
