Job Description Summary:

The Product Manager will optimize margin by identifying & implementing opportunities such as price sensitive models, relationship-based pricing, and extracting more value from clients based on product/deal structure.

The role will involve partnering closely with data & analytics teams, technology, and platform enablement teams to launch crucial initiatives that improve pricing capabilities and efficiencies to improve margin.

Key accountabilities:

  • Expand margin and volume potential by leveraging segmented pricing and related price sensitivity curves.

  • Drive complex initiatives on channel compensation and align pricing to channel incentives in proprietary and broker channels.

  • Analyze channel economics to implement profitability based pricing across channels

  • Participate in the day-to-day management of the product(s), identifying and implementing product features and enhancements, providing business case support of recommendations, and assisting in the strategic development of new initiatives.

  • Implement enhanced pricing optimization models and develop future pricing strategies as technology is enabled.

  • Represent RESL Pricing as a pricing subject matter expert on RESL projects related to price optimization.

  • Assist with other RESL Pricing activities as needed.

  • Provide an additional layer of managerial support for the RESL Pricing Team. The role may require people management activities including mentoring and hiring.

  • Collaborate with various partners in RESL, Finance, Treasury, Analytics, and Technology to achieve business objectives.

  • Deliver financial results for the product / product suite via operation of all available 'levers' (viz., pricing, margin, volume)

Experience & education:

  • Undergraduate degree or product management certificate and

  • 7+ years relevant experience

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and storytelling using data & insight

  • Knowledge of one visualization tool and data wrangling tool (e.g., PowerBI) will be preferred.

  • Previous RESL, product management and/or pricing experience will be preferred.

  • MBA and/or prior management consulting background will be useful.
