POSITION: Therapeutic Supports Worker

Locations: Sydney, NS. & Antigonish/New Glasgow, NS

Qualifications: Our organization is seeking an individual with a Master's Degree in Social Work, related Masters degree in counselling, or a Bachelors of social work degree with a minimum of 5 years experience who has experience working with individuals, couples, and families in a therapeutic setting. This position is a full-time permanent position.

Position Requirements: Reporting to the Therapeutic Supports Coordinator, the worker is responsible for delivering therapeutic services to adults, youth, and families. Skills required for the position include, but are not limited to strong engagement skills, solution focused work, and an understanding of trauma informed principles. Workers will work as part of a team and be engaged in reflective supervision.

Persons considered for this position must have: membership in good standing with their professional regulatory association, a clear police background check, a clear child abuse registry check and a drivers' license. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadian citizens and permanent residents will be given priority (all applicants should clearly indicate their status as a Canadian citizen or permanent resident).
