The Opportunity
As a valued member of the Finance Team, you will be responsible for:
- The day to day activities relating to accounts payable and accounts receivable;
- Some involvement with month end financial reporting;
- Prioritizing and delegating of tasks;
- Support for the Accounting Clerk such as ensuring payments, invoices and other key functions are processed timely and accurately;
- Interacting with vendors, auditors and employees at all levels in the organization, while strictly adhering to privacy, taxation and governance rules.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from a three-year Business Management (Accounting) diploma program from an accredited post-secondary institution;
- 3-5 years' experience in accounts payable.
- Prior experience with sales taxes compliance, dealing with audit matters, contracts/purchasing and Great Plains would be considered an asset.
You are a team player with strong interpersonal, communication, customer service and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and work independently in a computerized environment.
Compensation is as per the Collective Agreement.
