As part of the Mechanical Maintenance Team, the Maintenance Tradesworker is accountable for performing preventative and predictive maintenance on all mechanical systems and equipment at the Coleson Cove and Grand Manan Generating Stations.

Key functions include:
• Perform or assist in the operational troubleshooting of mechanical systems and equipment to determine the cause of problems and corrective action required
• Perform or assist in the installation, dismantling, repair, assembly, modification and testing of all types of mechanical systems and equipment
• Perform planned work and respond to emergent work independently, as part of a team and/or across workgroups

Our ideal teammate will have:
• Mechanical Technician Diploma or Industrial Mechanic-Millwright CQ with Red Seal endorsement
• Three years of experience post-certification in a heavy industrial environment
• Welding experience will be considered an asset

An equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be modified.

An Eligibility List generated from this competition may be used to fill future vacancies at the same level within a period of up to 12 months.
