Job Description:

The key accountabilities of this role include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Specific experience as a Product Owner for fraud detection capabilities, prioritizing backlog and guiding solution construction and implementation

  • Collaborate across the other delivery team to provide ongoing pipeline & status updates for initiatives to ensure we achieve desired and end state on time and in budget

  • Work closely with, influence, and effectively manage relationships with key partners and stakeholders both within Protect Platform and outside partners, up to the Executive Level, to successfully delivery & implement initiatives & meet associated business objectives

  • Establish Product Owner presence and appropriately guide agile team, business owners, and other partners to successful product feature completion.

  • Promote TD Agile practices and train project members and/or Business users where applicable

  • Collaborate with architects, applications and systems development teams to ensure designs and data across systems and platforms to support the ability to detect suspicious/fraudulent events and the ability to manage alerts once presented to agents

  • Proactively build and maintain relationships with fraud end users to ensure feedback is given and product enhancements align with correcting/preventing customer irritants

  • Oversee scope of the project and collaboratively adjusts scope when necessary, ensuring adherence to established project change management processes

  • Adhere to enterprise project gating and governance controls to ensure that projects meet all the performance, quality and compliance standards and conforms to appropriate methodology

  • Understanding and applying standards for fraud consumer's data expectations, ranging from naming standards to performance optimization; implement data strategies; build data flows, personas, user journeys and assisting Business Architecture team to map them to target state capabilities

  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis as required by the business and deliver results by developing and executing on innovative analytical solutions

  • Ensure data lineage mapping across implementations for central data store

  • Work creatively as an out-of-the-box thinker, with conceptual and problem-solving skills

  • Exercise excellent judgment and has personal integrity when handling sensitive/confidential information

  • Participate as a key stakeholder in PI Planning sessions to produce quarterly plans and align stories to sprints with a focus on delivering on objectives and key results (OKRs)

  • Proactively engage established business process partners to ensure customers or end users are prepared for application changes and establish Day 2 processes

  • Empowered to make product delivery decisions, escalating to senior management as appropriate

  • Keep others informed and up-to-date about the status / progress of projects and / or all relevant or useful information related to day-to-day activities, building the appropriate reports to demonstrate progress and future change

Experience and Education

  • Significant experience executing projects using Agile delivery methodology

  • Thorough knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools

  • Previous experience developing and executing on strategies and delivering superior results in both the short and long term

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; uses strong communication skills to communicate complex issues in easily understandable terms.

  • Proven ability to see business processes through the customer and employee lens

  • Ability to deal with significant ambiguity and flexibility to adapt to changing business priorities in a fast-paced environment while continuously challenging the status quo

  • Strong business acumen, financial acumen and analytical skill set – ability to absorb information on a variety of complex issues (financial and non-financial) and summarize key issues or concerns and identify common themes and trends

  • Strong communication (written & verbal) and inter-personal skills to facilitate working with colleagues at all levels of the organization

  • Team player with exceptional relationship management and impact & influence skills

  • Natural collaborator who engages colleagues, business partners, external stakeholders and employees at all levels of the organization with a superior ability to make things happen through the use of positive influence

  • Understanding of fraud detection/prevention approaches and technologies

  • Familiarity with data flow diagrams, use case creation, and defining acceptance criteria

  • Sound working knowledge of various software applications (e.g. Jira, Confluence, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.)

  • Relevant university degree or equivalent work experience

  • 7+ years of relevant delivery experience

  • 3+ years as Product Owner or Agile-related delivery experience

  • Nice to Have

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certifications or experience operating in a scaped agile environment

  • Experience in any Fraud Management or Financial Crimes group is valuable but not essential

  • Understanding of Azure services and offerings, event-driven architecture utilizing APIs and Microservices
