As an Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance Officer at Atlantic Lottery, you will play a pivotal role in protecting our operations from money laundering and terrorist financing risks. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the trust of our stakeholders and ensuring compliance with federal regulations.

Leader: Manager, Risk & Compliance

Responsibilities
  • Regulatory and Compliance Management: Investigate incidents and provide expert advice to improve our AML compliance program.
  • ML/TF Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations into suspected money laundering or terrorist financing activities.
  • ML/TF Management: Deliver comprehensive reporting and analysis to detect suspicious activities.
  • Systems Development: Research emerging risks and contribute to the development of AML policies and procedures.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Analyze data to identify key themes and potential business impacts.
  • Program Management: Develop, implement, and maintain our AML compliance program, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree/diploma in finance, law, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in AML compliance, preferably in the gaming or financial services industry.
  • Certifications: Professional certification in AML (e.g., CAMS) is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of FINTRAC guidelines, proficiency in data analytics tools, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to work independently with a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated informal leadership skills to mentor and guide colleagues.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with AML compliance software and tools.
  • Requirements: Must be 19 years of age or older and reside in Atlantic Canada.

Assets:

  • Professional certification in AML (e.g., CAMS)

Salary Band: $71,652 - $113,748 - A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role is $75,000 - $90,000 at the time of this posting. (Individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, market conditions, relevant experience, education, training and internal equity).

Work Location: Office or Hybrid option working from either our Moncton or Halifax Office

  • Onboarding/Probation: Full-time in-office for the first 6 months, based in Moncton, NB preferred.
  • After Probation: You can choose to either continue working full-time in the office or switch to a hybrid model, coming into the office 2-3 times a week.
