About the Position:

You will work as an Underwriter Manager remotely and will need to travel regularly within our business territory.

What Your Work Week Will Look Like:

Supervise and manage a dedicated team of personal and commercial insurance underwriters spread across the territory and dedicated to the development of the Atlantic region;

Guide and support underwriters in their activities to maintain the excellence of our service to representatives and offer a superior member experience;

Participate in the orientation of the organization's strategies and their implementation by involving the Atlantic risk underwriting service;

Support underwriters in developing their skills in a continuous improvement process;

Collaborate closely with other departments of the company to maintain effective relationships;

Supervise, coordinate, and improve underwriting activities to ensure effective risk management;

Support the team in evaluating, analyzing, and approving underwriting requests, while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

Do You Have This Profile?

You have a college diploma in Insurance and Financial Services Consulting or equivalent training;

You have at least 10 years of experience in insurance;

You have at least 5 years of underwriting experience;

You have excellent knowledge of the brokerage world in New Brunswick;

You are skilled in personnel management;

You are well-versed in personal and commercial insurance products;

You demonstrate exemplary leadership and a great ability to mobilize;

You have excellent planning, communication, and organizational skills;

You are advanced in both French and English, both spoken and written, to regularly communicate with our French and English-speaking partners in our business territory through complex interactions related to insurance and to meet Promutuel de l'Estuaire's growth objectives.
