Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Logistics Supervisor to join our Transportation team. In this leadership role, you will oversee logistics operations across two sites-ADL St. Eleanors (Summerside) and ADL West Royalty (Charlottetown)-requiring regular travel between both locations. You will manage shipping, receiving, scheduling, and fleet operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, supporting drivers, and optimizing operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage logistics and transportation activities, including shipping, receiving, and route scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and highway regulations.
- Oversee daily routes, schedules, and customer deliveries to ensure efficiency.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to drivers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team.
- Track shipments and address any delivery issues promptly.
- Utilize logistics software to optimize productivity and fleet utilization.
- Maintain accurate records, including driver payroll and performance metrics.
- Support fleet maintenance activities and ensure vehicle readiness.
- Resolve transportation challenges and implement process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Experience in logistics, transportation, or fleet management.
- Post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven ability to supervise and lead drivers effectively.
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and fleet operations.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail, with a commitment to safety and efficiency.
- Willingness to travel regularly between Summerside and Charlottetown locations.
- Certifications in logistics or transportation management are considered an asset.
