Fundy Trail Provincial Park is one of New Brunswick's crown jewels. Spanning 2,559 hectares along the southern coast, the park features a stunning 30 km parkway with breathtaking views of the world-renowned Bay of Fundy. Open seasonally from mid-May to mid-October, it offers visitors an unforgettable chance to connect with nature and history.
Fundy Trail Provincial Park is hiring a Sales and Service Attendant Supervisor to lead our sales team and oversee the operations of our Gift Shops and other retail centers. This position plays a key role in supervising Sales and Service staff, ensuring excellent customer retail experiences, and maintaining smooth and efficient related operations. What you will do
Reporting to the Assistant Park Manager, the successful candidate will take on a vital leadership role in ensuring outstanding retail experiences by overseeing park retail programs, managing operations within the park's gift shops and retail centers, and supervising the sales and service teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
- Supervising daily operations of gift shops and other retail outlets throughout the park, ensuring high standards of customer service
- Creating and maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment conducive to retail services
- Setting up and managing vendor files and monitoring inventory using sales software
- Supporting park management with additional tasks related to sales and services as needed
- Managing and supervising a team of employees, including staff scheduling and task assignments
- Assisting with hiring, onboarding, and training new staff
- Providing ongoing guidance, feedback, and performance evaluations
- Delivering exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving concerns professionally
- Acting as a resource for staff to ensure consistent, high-quality guest interactions
- Tracking and updating inventory, sales data, and related reports
- Overseeing vendor coordination and following up on orders and supplies
- Assisting in preparing financial reports for park management as required
- Promoting and enforcing health and safety protocols for all retail operations
- Ensuring a safe and clean working environment
- Active involvement in park committees such as the Joint Health and Safety Committee, contributing to the park's ongoing improvement
- Working closely with park management, staff and other departments to coordinate special events, group tours, and busy operational periods
- Supporting team members across the park as needed, ensuring smooth operations across all locations
- Maintaining records of cash transactions, reconciling funds, and preparing daily bank deposits
- Tracking and recording visitor statistics, program participation, and other key data in logbooks
- Performing other duties as assigned
Work Environment
- Working up to 40 hours per week
- Please note that this position requires variable and extended hours - shifts may include evenings, weekends and holidays
- Attending to clients' needs in a professional and efficient manner
- Light to moderate lifting

Who you are
Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:
You are someone who has concern for order but can also be flexible. You have great communication skills as well as great leadership skills. You have experience working with the public and retail operations.
Need to have
- Completion of grade 10 or equivalent education
- Minimum of 3 years of related work experience
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel)
- Valid Class 5 driver's license as issued by the Province of New Brunswick
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered
- Some positions require spoken competence in English and French. Other positions require spoken competence in either English or in French only. Please state your language capability.

Wage
$23.72 per hour
