Fundy Trail Provincial Park is one of New Brunswick's crown jewels. Spanning 2,559 hectares along the southern coast, this iconic park features stunning views of the world-renowned Bay of Fundy, a 30-km parkway, and unparalleled opportunities to connect with nature and history. Open seasonally from mid-May to mid-October, Fundy Trail Provincial Park is a must-visit destination for locals and visitors alike.

We are currently hiring Sales and Service Attendants to join our dynamic team at Fundy Trail Provincial Park. In this role, you will be an integral part of our operations, providing top-tier customer service in our kiosks, gift shops, and retail centers. This is your opportunity to contribute to one of New Brunswick's most beloved destinations while creating unforgettable experiences for our guests.

What you will do

Reporting to the Sales and Service Attendant Supervisor, the successful candidates will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service experiences at Fundy Trail Provincial Park while working as part of a dedicated team within our retail programs and operations, including gift shops, kiosks, and other retail centers. The successful candidates will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Greeting and welcoming all visitors while providing outstanding customer service and addressing inquiries
  • Sharing information about the park's amenities, activities, and features
  • Engaging visitors to enhance their overall park experience
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area, including ensuring washrooms are tidy
  • Stocking shelves, refrigerators, and freezers to keep inventory well-organized
  • Operating a Point of Sale (Lightspeed and Global Payment) system, managing cash transactions, and balancing registers
  • Keeping accurate statistics and recording necessary information
  • Assisting with reservations and respond to phone and in-person inquiries
  • Locking and unlocking workplaces as required
  • Pricing, storing, and stocking inventory, including monthly inventory counts
  • Cross-training to support entrance kiosks on the park's east and west ends as needed
  • Utilizing camping reservation software (CAMIS)
  • Active participation in park committees such as the Workplace Joint Health and Safety Committee, contributing to the park's ongoing improvement
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Sales and Service Attendant Supervisor

Work Environment

  • Office Location: 229 Main Street St. Martins; Fundy Trail Provincial Park Administrative Building

Big Salmon River Interpretive Centre (Fundy Trail Provincial Park)

  • Please note that this position requires variable and extended hours - shifts may include evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Light to moderate lifting
  • Uniform provided

Need to have

  • Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent education
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered
  • Some positions require spoken competence in English and French. Other positions require spoken competence in either English or in French only. Please state your language capability.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of CAMIS (Camping Reservation Software)
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with LightSpeed and Global Payment Systems

Wage

$20.67 per hour
