Fundy Trail Provincial Park is one of New Brunswick's crown jewels. Spanning 2,559 hectares along the southern coast, the park features a stunning 30 km parkway with breathtaking views of the world-renowned Bay of Fundy. Open seasonally from mid-May to mid-October, it offers visitors an unforgettable chance to connect with nature and history.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role is crucial to the park's smooth operation in providing exceptional support to staff, visitors, and park management, while fostering positive experiences and maintaining operational excellence.
What you will do
Reporting to the Office Manager, as a member of the Fundy Trail Provincial Park team, you will play a pivotal role in managing the administrative functions of the park. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
- Answering telephone, screening calls, and providing necessary follow-up in both official languages
- Preparing, formatting, proof-reading, and editing correspondence or documents in both official languages
- Addressing park-related inquiries, events, and amenities, including camping
- Participating in the issuing of camping permit/reservations (CAMIS system)
- Maintaining a positive, professional demeanor when dealing with the public and addressing challenges
- Performing other related duties as required
Work Environment
- Office Location: 229 Main Street St. Martins; Fundy Trail Provincial Park Administrative Building
Big Salmon River Interpretive Centre (Fundy Trail Provincial Park)
- Standard hours of work: Monday ¿ Friday, 8:15 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Please note that this position requires variable and extended hours - shifts may include evenings, weekends, holidays
- This position may require some travel within the province
- Uniform provided

Need to have
- A post-secondary diploma of 1 year in a related field
- A minimum of 3 years of administrative experience, including financial transactions and records management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with financial or administrative coding systems
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered
- Written and spoken competence in English is required ¿ please state your language capability.
Nice to have
- Ability to handle financial transactions and reconcile records with accuracy
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with staff, the public, and park management
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information
- Adaptability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team
- Experience in payroll administration or human resources
- Familiarity with park programming or tourism-related activities
- Valid First Aid/CPR certification
Wage
$22.41 - $27.19 per hour
