Fundy Trail Provincial Park is one of New Brunswick's crown jewels. Spanning 2,559 hectares along the southern coast, the park features a stunning 30 km parkway with breathtaking views of the world-renowned Bay of Fundy. Open seasonally from mid-May to mid-October, it offers visitors an unforgettable chance to connect with nature and history.

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our Team as Administrative Assistants who will support the Office Manager and park management team by performing a variety of essential administrative tasks.

What you will do

Reporting to the Office Manager, as a member of the Fundy Trail Provincial Park team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Greeting individuals and providing general information
  • Answering telephone, screening calls and providing necessary follow-up
  • Preparing, formating, proof-reading and editing correspondence or documents
  • Receiving, sorting, and forwarding emails, mail and preparing replies to routine correspondence
  • Organizing, coordinating, and attending various meetings, recording meeting minutes and collating park statistics
  • Maintaining an efficient filing system
  • Ordering, receiving, and maintaining office supplies
  • Keeping workspaces, washrooms, and kitchen areas clean and organized
  • Performing other related duties as required

Work Environment

  • Office Location: 229 Main Street St. Martins; Fundy Trail Provincial Park Administrative Building

Big Salmon River Interpretive Centre (Fundy Trail Provincial Park)

  • Please note that this position requires variable and extended hours - shifts may include evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Uniform provided

Need to have

  • Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED plus a minimum of 2 years of related work experience
  • Thorough knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office Suite
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered
  • Some positions require spoken competence in English and French. Other positions require spoken competence in either English or in French only. Please state your language capability.

  • Strong communication skills to interact professionally with staff, the public, and park management
  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information
  • Adaptability to work collaboratively as part of a team or independently
  • A positive, professional demeanor when dealing with the public and addressing challenges

Wage

$19.57 - $23.45 per hour
