Service New Brunswick is seeking an individual to join the Provincial Land Registration team as Land Registration Examiner.
Reporting to the Provincial Land Registration Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for processing applications, documents and plans related to the Registry Act, the Land Titles Act, and their Regulations. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Determining the suitability for registration of instruments (documents and plans) under the acts, policies and procedures related to Land Registry
- Assisting with and supporting the Registrar; processing applications, documents and plans related to Land Registry
- Updating and maintaining the Land Registry databases
- Providing assistance to clients, staff and other government departments and agencies for Land Registry related issues
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of the Land Registry services

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: High school or GED supplemented by a one (1) year related post-secondary diploma plus a minimum of three (3) years of related work experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates that demonstrate:
- Paralegal Experience
- Knowledge of the PLANET application
Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one or more of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications in order to be given further consideration.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The following operational requirement(s) is also required:
- Candidates will be required to undergo Criminal History Clearance prior to appointment.
- Some infrequent travel to other regions of the province may be required therefore candidates must possess a valid New Brunswick driver's license and have their own means of transportation.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: You must be eligible for appointment as Commissioner of Oaths as well as Deputy Registrar under the Registry Act and Land Titles Act.
