JOB SUMMARY

Food and Nutrition Services and Environmental Services are essential support services for the delivery of safe, quality care. The incumbent effectively performs a range of administrative support, management and administrative tasks in support of management in connection with the responsibilities, missions and visions of these two cross-functional sectors.

The incumbent reports to the Regional Director of Food and Nutrition Services and Environmental Services and is also called upon to work in collaboration with the Assistant Director and members of the management teams of the various zones, as well as with other internal and external stakeholders, to achieve the objectives of these two sectors and according to needs and priorities.

The incumbent is therefore part of the team responsible for the smooth running of services in these two sectors.

As required, and workload permitting, the incumbent may also be asked to provide more extensive administrative support to one or more management teams in one of these two sectors or to another directorate.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Recognized post-secondary training in office management, office administration or secretarial skills (minimum of one year or equivalent);
  • Any other combination of training and experience deemed relevant and equivalent could be considered;
  • Five years' experience in an equivalent or related position;
  • Strong skills in planning, organizing, prioritizing, managing own time and meeting deadlines;
  • Ability to write well and communicate in French and English;
  • Ability to use initiative to improve work and find solutions independently;
  • Proficiency in common IT tools and software (Microsoft 365, Adobe Acrobat, Meditech, Kronos – an asset);
  • Ability to learn new computer tools easily and help new users;
  • Proven ability to perform assigned tasks quickly;
  • Ability to produce high-quality work efficiently
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as good judgment;
  • Interpersonal skills promoting a climate conducive to welcoming and showing concern for clients and to professional and effective communication;
  • Demonstrate the following personal qualities: autonomy and initiative, organization, discretion, creativity, ability to adapt to change and a positive attitude;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical ability to perform the assigned work;
  • Good work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethical principles, the Network's management philosophy, and organizational values;
