OFFICE OF THE REGISTRAR
The Office of the Registrar provides administrative and coordination services in support of the UNB learning community. Services that we provide to students, faculty and staff include admission, academic advising (Saint John), timetabling and course set up, academic room assignment, final examinations, coordination of graduations, regulation, and policy advice, as well as reporting and information requests.

Salary Range: $59,361 - $77,168 per annum
YOUR FOCUS
Reporting to the Registrar, the Manager, Admissions Services leads a dynamic service oriented unit geared to support students, faculties and academic programs. The role manages the admissions team towards meeting admissions goals and services and works collaboratively with other UNB partners to plan and implement admissions strategies. The Manager, Admissions Services is a leader in supporting student oriented services.
- Manage staff in the admissions working group.
- Advises on and sets admission goals and strategies to meet UNB Saint John, and UNB wide, priorities.
- Manage daily, weekly and monthly goals and priorities and advises on progress.
- Manage procedures, workflow and resources to meet goals and priorities.
- Train and coach admissions staff.
- Identify strategic admission impacts impacting progress towards UNB's goals.
- Adhere to and support UNB regulations, as well as provincial and national laws regarding privacy and confidentiality processes.
- Maintain awareness of educational frameworks and how they relate to UNB's admissions requirements and preparation for UNB's programs.
- Maintain awareness, manage and adjust, platforms supporting admissions processes, as required.
- Collaborate with UNB partners regarding these platforms.
- Perform testing and feedback on updates, versions and adjustments.
- Adjust admission processes, workflow, and communicate with admission staff and key stakeholders to maintain efficient and effective processes.
- Process admissions files as required, according to UNB admission regulations.
- Review and decide on escalated files.
- Address customer service issues related to admissions services.
- Establish best practice service goals; implement strategies to meet these goals; document and report on progress.
- Coordinate and collaborate with academic units regarding admissions, issues, procedures, best practice and intake cycles.
- Coordinate and collaborate with support staff units regarding events and strategies to support multi-level goals and initiatives.
- Support other projects and new initiatives within the Registrar's office and UNB as needed.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor degree required.
- Minimum three years of work experience in an educational environment with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Minimum one year of supervisory experience.
- Experience in admissions in an educational environment is required.
- Experience in a data systems environment and in a privacy sensitive environment required.
- Experience with Microsoft Suite and database systems are required.
