Summary

We are looking for an exceptional leader to join our team as a Director, Acquisition Marketing, who will be responsible for accelerating growth and strengthening our presence in highly competitive markets.

As the Director, Acquisition Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the end-to-end development, execution, and optimization of acquisition strategies for Bell and Virgin brands. Using a structured 4P marketing framework (Product, Price, Place, Promotion), you will lead the elevation of internet marketing programs across various platforms, driving key initiatives that differentiate our brands. The role will also involve close collaboration with sales channels to balance subscriber growth with revenue objectives, aligning business outcomes with Bell Canada's strategic priorities.

This is a high-impact leadership role requiring a customer-centric mindset, exceptional problem-solving, and the ability to translate complex business objectives into actionable marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership and Brand Management

  • Oversee and refine the 4P marketing strategy for both Bell and Virgin brands, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Develop and execute high-performing multi-channel acquisition campaigns across digital, traditional, retail, and partner channels to foster market leadership and penetrate key customer segments.
  • Elevate Bell's and Virgin's Internet marketing initiatives, ensuring brand differentiation and alignment with each brand's core value proposition and target audience needs.

Campaign Development and Execution

  • Lead the creation of innovative acquisition campaigns leveraging data-driven insights, market trends, and customer segmentation to generate demand and maximize subscriber growth.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including brand, analytics, and product, to deliver customer-centric campaigns tailored to individual markets and competitive environments.
  • Leverage cutting-edge tools and platforms for personalized marketing, A/B testing, and campaign optimization, ensuring exceptional returns on marketing investments.
Collaboration with Sales Channels
  • Work closely with sales and distribution teams to ensure alignment throughout the full customer lifecycle, identifying opportunities to enhance the acquisition funnel.
  • Collaborate to create seamless marketing-to-sales handoffs and conversion strategies, ensuring consistency in messaging and execution.
  • Balance revenue and subscriber acquisition goals by refining offers, channels, and tactics to maximize both short-term acquisition impact and long-term customer value.
Data-Driven Optimization and Reporting
  • Drive continuous campaign improvement by analyzing metrics such as customer of acquisition (COA), customer lifetime value (LTV), and channel performance.
  • Understand market dynamics and analyze performance across regions, technology footprint, competitors and segments to determine opportunities and areas of risk
  • Regularly report on campaign outcomes and ROI, identifying opportunities to double down on successful initiatives and improve underperforming strategies.
  • Translate insights into actionable plans that continually enhance marketing execution and impact.
Team Leadership
  • Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing marketing team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Act as a thought leader and mentor, instilling a culture of curiosity, accountability, and excellence.
  • Encourage cross-departmental collaboration to achieve unified objectives and deliver seamless cross-functional projects.
Critical Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree is strongly preferred.
  • 8–10+ years of progressive marketing experience with a proven track record of leading customer acquisition initiatives in fast-paced industries like telecommunications, technology, or retail.
  • Expertise in managing the 4Ps of marketing, experience with internet or wireless products is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-channel marketing strategies and optimizing performance across platforms.
  • Exceptional strategic planning and project management skills with attention to both macro outcomes and micro execution details.
  • Deep understanding of data-centric marketing, including CRM platforms, marketing automation, and customer journey mapping.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing and aligning cross-functional teams.
  • Results-oriented, with the ability to set and achieve ambitious targets under pressure.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to executive audiences.
  • Proficiency in leveraging analytics and reporting tools to optimize marketing performance and budgets.
