Key Responsibilities- Operate printing presses and related equipment
- Maintain and troubleshoot print presses and related equipment
- Monitor and adjust printing processes to meet quality standards
- Load and unload paper and materials
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance as required
- Keep the work area clean and safe
- Grade 12
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
- Team attitude with a willingness to learn
- Working knowledge of size and dimension
- General knowledge of personal computers (PC and Mac)
- 3 – 5 years working experience in print production environment
- Experience working on Harris Litho press an asset
- Sound knowledge from front end to final product of the print production process and colour
- An understanding of various plastic substrates and paper materials an asset
- All applicants must pass a colour blindness test
- General knowledge of seaming and touch-up preferred
- Moderate to heavy lifting involved
- Ability to communicate with various departments to see job is successfully completed
- Well organized individual who can work under pressure and with minimal supervision
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MAY BE REQUIRED TO UNDERGO A PHYSICAL EXAMINATION TIED TO THE NEEDS OF THE JOB.
Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
