Description
The College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick (CPSNB) serves and protects the public by regulating the practice of medicine in the province. With over 20 employees, the CPSNB is currently seeking a researcher or technical writer to work in the complaints department.
Key Responsibilities
Our Complaints Department plays a crucial role in addressing and resolving complaints, and we are seeking a dedicated researcher or technical writer to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that complaints are resolved in a timely manner.
Below is an outline of key responsibilities:
- Prepare summaries of complaint files, including a complaint, response, and evidence, (including medical records)
- Reviewing draft decisions and orders
- Assist in the investigation of complaints
- Prepare documents and reports
- Assist in the investigation of complaints
- Research in various fields
- Draft documents, training manuals and other documents
- Provide organizational support to the other departments at the CPSNB as needed
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree
- 5+ years of work experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to read, write and speak French and English at an advanced level
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to navigate emotionally charged situations
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
- Excellent writing skills in both official languages
- Attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products
- Strategic approach to problem solving
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a timely manner
- Flexible and adaptable
- Able to prioritize workflow to meet changing operational needs
