Reporting to the Associate Registrar, Admissions, the Transfer Student Coordinator has an in-depth knowledge of admissions policies related to all MSVU undergraduate programs, allowing for efficiency and consistency of approach across all areas. The incumbent is responsible for all admissions processes at the undergraduate level, including making admissions decisions for high school (including IB), mature and international students with a focus on transfer students applying to the University under an articulation agreement (2+2). The Transfer Student Coordinator is also responsible for maintaining the transfer credit database in Colleague and liaising regularly with Deans and department chairs to identify new opportunities for articulation agreements and ensures current articulation agreements are up to date.
This position requires an undergraduate degree and a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience. Previous experience in a Registrar's or Admissions Office is considered an asset. The ideal candidate will be service oriented and have a high level of attention to detail. Applicants should be comfortable working to deadlines in a highly diversified environment and have a high tolerance for multiple disruptions throughout the day. Excellent time management skills and the ability to determine priorities are essential in this role. Confidentiality is essential when dealing with student information. Candidates should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, and have an aptitude for, or previous experience, using business enterprise systems such as Colleague, Banner, PeopleSoft, etc.
