Not only is the department responsible for managing over 18,000 kilometers of provincial highways, it also manages the planning, design and construction of hospitals, schools and other government buildings.

What you will do

Reporting to the Regional Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following responsibilities:

  • provide support to the District Regional Director, Assistant District Engineer and the Human Resources Consultant;
  • coordinate recruitment processes associated with competitions such as maintaining the recruitment database; preparing and proofreading competition postings in both official languages; drafting correspondence; scheduling testing and interviews; administering and supervising testing sessions; maintaining competition files; responding to candidate or client inquiries.
  • receive and triage inquires for the District Regional Director and Assistant District Engineer.
  • prepare correspondence for the District Regional Director and Assistant District Engineer.

  • Work location: Bathurst District Office
  • Standard hours of work: Monday - Friday

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED supplemented by the successful completion of a one (1) year post-secondary diploma in a related field
  • Minimum of five (5) years of related experience,
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite

An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

SALARY:

Administrative Services Level 4: $1,816.00 to $2,205.00 bi-weekly, based on a 36.25-hour week.
