Horizon Health Network (Horizon) is seeking a compassionate, knowledgeable, open-minded individual to join our team as a Clinical Spiritual Care Practitioner. The ideal candidate will have experience providing multifaith and non-faith-based spiritual care and counselling in an institutional setting.

Who you are
You have worked in spiritual care and / or counselling for a minimum of 1 year, and you have at least 1 unit of CPE. You have experience in assessing spiritual care needs and developing an appropriate care plan. You have knowledge and demonstrate skills in at least one psychotherapeutic modality. You are a member in good standing of the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care / Association canadienne de soins spirituels.
Education required: Masters of divinity, religious studies, spirituality, counselling, or a related field. Applicants will only a bachelor's degree may be considered depending on experience.
Written and spoken competence in English is required at an advanced level.
What you will do
- Provide spiritual care and counseling based on clinical assessment, to patients and/or their families and staff.
- Attend or participate in patient rounds and patient conferences.
- Participate in hospital committee as requested by department manager.
- Participate in spiritual and multi-faith celebrations, commemorations and memorials respecting participant's beliefs and practices.
- Participate in spiritual care programs and services.
