The Role

The Front to Back (F2B) Design Centre team is a growing, high performing team consisting of top talent that develops and executes strategy at an enterprise and business line level for Canada's leading international bank. The team works closely with senior management, business line leaders and a diverse set of stakeholders to deliver strategic advice that solves business problems through structured research, analysis, and compelling strategic recommendations.
Reporting to the Director, F2B Design Centre, the Senior Manager role will have the mandate to design, develop and execute end-to-end F2B strategy at an Enterprise and business line level. The incumbent will be team-oriented, critical thinkers with a passion for solving business problems. This role will play a critical role in working with stakeholders and partners across all business lines and functions to assess current capabilities, identify opportunities and design a future state operating model, capabilities, and implementation roadmaps; as well support as required the Value Streams to transition to and ongoing throughout Delivery.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will be involved in:

  • F2B Strategy Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive an E2E approach, across all workstream: Customer Experience, Employee Experience, Process Simplification, Risks & Controls, Technology, and Benefit/Value assessment to provide customized strategy and target state design; includes structuring and driving the work, shaping research and analysis to enable decision-making, challenging existing models, facilitating workshops and interviews, synthesizing findings, and presenting clear recommendations and action plans to ensure defined outcomes are achieved and recognized within the Bank.
  • F2B Value Stream Design Phase: Manage and deliver the F2B transformation initiatives following a standardized, consistent, and repeatable methodology across the value commitment definition, ideation, design, and implementation phases, ensuring timely implementation of F2B goals with right scope & outcome; lead project workstreams, including developing project /sprint plans, leading problem-solving sessions, workshops and interviews with cross-functional and business line working team members and subject matter experts to deliver on F2B workstream goals with the right scope and outcome.
  • F2B Design Centre Development: Support practice development and documentation of best practices (e.g., playbook), assets (e.g., pitch decks & templates) and capturing lessons learned from each transformation initiative to sustainable drive consistent impact and propagate the mandate across the bank; develop and manage internal governance and reporting (e.g., executive advisory dashboards and reports) to support tracking the F2B center against its mandate; Support JIRA and following Sprint Cadence.
  • Stakeholder Management: Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to support the achievement of deliverables and overall program objectives.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We'd love to work with you if you have the following:

  • University Degree in Business or Engineering, MBA, or relevant post Graduate degree.
  • 7+ years of work experience, including multiple years of progressively more senior strategy experience in management consulting and / or corporate strategy team(s) at a large, multinational company
  • Experience mobilizing and leading complex operational and strategic initiatives is an asset
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to discern patterns and insights from research and data and focus on critical business issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including developing effective presentations for senior executives
  • Specific training or project management designations are an asset
