The Department of Social Development is seeking Social Workers to work in the Children's Resource Services Program in the Moncton office.

The Department is responsible for providing quality programs and services to all New Brunswickers including children, families, seniors, and persons with disabilities.

Children's Resource Services Social Workers are responsible for collaborating closely with foster parents, group home operators, and other stakeholders to ensure the best possible care and support for children in care. This role involves a mix of administrative and direct support tasks, including organizing support groups, planning appreciation events, conducting annual reviews, and participating in care planning. Successful candidates will be required to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, staff members, professionals, community and volunteer agencies, government departments and the public. Other related duties as assigned. Management may reassign the successful candidates to different program areas such as Child Welfare or Child Protection, based on operational requirements and/or priorities.

Written and spoken competence in English and French is required for some positions, while other positions require written and spoken competence in English. Please state your language capability.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Master's or Bachelor's degree in Social Work.

In order to be appointed, candidates must be actively registered with the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers and will be required to undergo a Criminal History Clearance, as well as an SD Record Check (under the Family Services Act) prior to appointment.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Some positions require working on weekends, variable hours, drivers licence, and having your own means of transportation within the assigned region.
