JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Integrated Quality Management, this position is responsible for the management of all activities related to patient/visitor incidents, litigation and claims, risk mitigation plans, administrative auditing of medical assistance in dying requests, coordination of alerts/recalls, mandatory reporting and other related tasks. The manager contributes to the development of a just culture, the continuous improvement of quality and patient safety, and the delivery of person-centred care and services.

REQUIREMENTS :

• Bachelor's degree in a health-related discipline or any other combination of experience and training deemed relevant;
• Health care risk management certificate considered an asset;
• Master's in health service administration or management considered an asset;
• Ten years' varied experience in the health field;
• Five years' progressive management experience;
• Critical thinking and good judgment;
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve complex problems;
• Leadership and ability to mobilize and engage others to achieve a common objective;
• Good oral and written communication skills and proficiency in both official languages;
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools;

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Physical ability to perform assigned work;
• Good work history (performance and attendance);
• Adherence to professional ethics principles, the Network's management philosophy and organizational values;
• Adherence to Vitalité Health Network's confidentiality rules.
