Job Posting: Part-time Shunter Dispatcher
Location: Mont-Royal, QC
Salary: $25.00/hour
Work Hours: Starting at 5:30 AM, Monday to Friday, 31 hours per week

We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Dispatcher to oversee our shunting yard in Mont-Royal, QC. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and dispatching shunters to designated areas based on the needs of the shipping department. Your contribution will be essential in ensuring smooth and efficient yard operations.

Responsibilities:* Receive and process yard requests or orders from the shipping department via phone or email.
* Communicate clearly with shunters, providing instructions, updates, and support throughout their shifts.
* Ensure the timely execution of yard movements and monitor their progress.
* Address any issues or delays related to yard movements and resolve them promptly.
* Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, vehicle locations, and communications with shunters.
* Coordinate with other departments and team members to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
* Respond promptly to client requests, concerns, or emergencies, escalating issues when necessary.
* Ensure adherence to company safety policies, procedures, and regulations at all times.

Requirements:
* Fully bilingual in French and English.
* Proficient in computer use.
* At least 2 years of experience in shunting dispatching.
* A Class 1 driver's license is an asset but not required.
* Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
* Proficiency in dispatching software and other relevant technologies.
* Ability to stay calm under pressure and make quick, informed decisions in emergency situations.
