General Maintenance Worker
The General Maintenance Worker performs regular, routine and special duties in the areas of housekeeping and,maintenance for the Atlantic School of Theology. In doing so the General Maintenance Worker must be able to work unsupervised and maintain a high degree of work ethic to ensure the university campus is kept in a safe, clean and meticulous fashion.
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the General Maintenance Worker strives to achieve goals and objectives as scheduled and assigned. Progress against these goals and objectives are used in the evaluation of both the position and the incumbent.
As the ideal candidate, you have the following preferred qualifications and experience:
Possession of a high school diploma(preferred but not required)
Previous cleaning experience in an industrial setting(preferred but not required)
Ability to work with and operate various tools and equipment, both manual and electric
Knowledge of and ability to adhere to all safety regulations and WHMIS requirements
Must be able to work a variety of time schedules to meet the needs of the position and the department
Results-oriented and able to work independently
Must provide a criminal and vulnerability background check
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
