Definition of Work:
A leader in a multidisciplinary setting, the Clinical Psychologist III is responsible for psychological services in a newly developing residential addictions treatment centre for adolescents. This individual will be responsible for the initial development and implementation of psychological assessment and treatment processes within this new facility. The Clinical Psychologist III will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive evaluation of treatment services offered at the centre. This position will also be responsible for clinical supervision and the development of an internship program for doctoral-level students. Individuals with strong research interests are encouraged to apply. The successful applicant for this position will enjoy clinical work with youth who present with addiction and concurrent needs, and a career that balances clinical practice with health promotion activities, research and clinical supervision. The successful candidate must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for promoting and supporting person-and family-centered care, demonstrate a commitment to safety and partner with all team members to improve worker and patient safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks and implementing improvements.
Required qualifications:
• Graduate or doctorate Degree in Psychology from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 5 years' current experience (within the last 7 years) working with clients with mental health and/or addictions needs.
• Registered or eligible for registration with the Newfoundland and Labrador
Board of Examiners in Psychology.
• Satisfactory Child, Youth and Family Services Records Check.

• Use of a private vehicle and valid class IV driver's license are a condition of employment.
• A satisfactory record of attendance and performance is required for this position.
• A satisfactory certificate of conduct from the RCMP or local police authority.
