The Sr. Manager, leads and oversees part of the Planning, Forecasting & Analysis team in Technology Finance ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Provides thorough, accurate and insightful analysis for Statutory Forecasting and Planning and Financial Reporting
- Acts as Finance relationship manager for Technology Areas; providing financial guidance to Technology partners and other finance teams, identifying and communicating financial-related issues (e.g. actual/committed vs. budget/forecast), and uploading inputs into source systems
- Communication of proper hiring procedures with Technology and finance and provides support for staffing and contractor issues
- Oversees the tracking, reporting, and analysis of Technology staffing movements and approvals
- Oversees the tracking and reporting of approved changes relating to transfers, contractor conversions, etc.
- Provides accurate and timely management, control, planning & forecasting of staffing and related operating expenditures
- Manages team of 2 people
- Contributes to the maintenance of strong financial governance through implementing best practices. Supports audit requests and the communication of financial policies, guidelines and Bank practices
- Contribute to an environment in which the team works together to produce creative and value-added strategic analysis while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Undergraduate degree in relevant field with either professional designation (e.g. CPA, CFA) or graduate degree (e.g. MBA)
- 5-10 years of work experience in Finance or Accounting role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced excel skills
- Extensive experience and knowledge of financial and management reporting principles as applied to banking issues, thorough understanding of the business planning process, dealing with accounting systems, budgets and internal controls
