Job Description:

Core Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Performance and Productivity Ecosystems (a division of Wealth Operational Excellence), this role will lead the planning, consultation, implementation, and reporting for Wealth Operations performance initiatives. The successful candidate will have experience managing stakeholders at various levels and will demonstrate their capabilities to own various stages of projects.

The following accountabilities will be core to this role:

  • Lead the Competencies development project – this framework identifies the specific skills and proficiency levels that are necessary for success within Operations at all levels (e.g. Effective Communications, Customer Experience Management, …)
  • Lead sustainment initiatives for the Performance Excellence Framework – an immersive Coaching program for Team Managers that covers the 10 universal elements of effective coaching, helping to drive higher performance across Operations (and other teams across TD)
  • Manage relationships with Team Managers and Group Managers to support the above initiatives, maintain communications, gather enhancement requests, report on project progress and demonstrate benefits
  • Lead the annual colleague development strategic planning process to lock-in a meaningful learning curriculum each year that drives Ops performance forward
  • Manage the Fusion project – an annual resourcing initiative to recruit, onboard, and develop talent from Canadian Personal Banking to support Wealth Ops' busy season
  • Consolidate weekly / monthly AVP+ meeting content for discussion, and monthly content for engagements with Wealth lines of business
  • Maintain a solid understanding of common performance metrics leveraged by Operations people managers (e.g. Productivity, Efficiency, SLAs, ciLEI, …)
  • Participate regularly in leadership forums to promote project overviews, inspire leadership actions, intake stakeholder recommendations that further the Performance & Productivity mandate within Ops
  • Manage ad-hoc engagement initiatives periodically to support Wealth Operations seasonal priorities
  • Contribute to a collaborative and productive work culture within the Operational Excellence team

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years relevant performance management, business Consulting, colleague Experience / Engagement, or related experiences within financial services
  • University degree in business management, finance, or similar disciplines
  • Accreditations such as MBA, CPA, P.Eng considered an asset
  • Wealth Operations or Wealth Business experience is a definite asset

Competencies & Experience

A Business Case submission will provide an opportunity for candidates to demonstrate some of the following:

  • Effective communication – Advanced verbal and written skills, with ability to deliver actionable presentations
  • Client experience management – Advanced ability to manage multiple stakeholders and timelines, and discretion regarding sensitive subject matters
  • Superior adaptability to manage ambiguity and to employ judgement that drives initiatives forward
  • Data analysis – experience using data analysis tools to drive insights and recommendations (Good Excel skills minimum)
  • Attention to detail – Ability to navigate large and complex qualitative / quantitative details to derive insights
  • Analytical thinking – Advanced ability to simplify and summarize complex details, and ability to build business cases that recommend actions for Wealth Operations and our partners
  • Experience with process improvements and process mapping considered an asset
