Summary

As part of Bell Canada's Business Market segment, the Business Continuity Senior Advisor has overall responsibility for supporting our customers' business continuity in compliance with contractual obligations. You act as a reference and contact person for your unit, your work teams, and your dedicated customers.

Your role includes testing established plans that ensure the availability of management infrastructure required for IT recovery. You perform functional supervision and coordinate the parties involved in accordance with the set schedule. You ensure the quality of deliverables, the performance and engagement of the team of contributors. You contribute to the resolution of complex problems that require analysis and mastery of the environment under your responsibility. The Business Continuity Senior Advisor must interact with various stakeholders working in complementary areas of expertise. Therefore, mastery of interpersonal skills is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Governance
  • Participate in the maintenance of the business requirements roadmap
  • Maintain the continuity plan for all management infrastructures post-project
  • Participate in the service transition and delivery of large, complex projects
  • Help to integrate various recovery strategies following a disaster (DR, Disaster Recovery) in the overall architecture
  • Understand the changing IT market and how it translates to the company
  • Participate in IT governance milestones
  • Recommend upgrades and improvements to maintain an optimized business continuity/DR strategy.
  • Coordination/Operational Responsibilities
    • Provide leadership and technical advice on business continuity practices
    • Participate in the planning and carrying out of DR operations on the management infrastructure
    • Produce a post-operation report with detailed activities, action plans and problems
    • Participate in the resolution of related incidents/problems
    • Single point of contact and available for assistance 24/7, 365 days a year, related to business continuity/DR for the customer
    • Provide leadership in proactive approaches to eliminate problematic trends
    • Develop and present an analysis of trends and proposed action plans to internal/external stakeholders
    • Demonstrate an interest in acquiring technical and commercial knowledge from one or more customers
    • The ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and constantly evolving environment
    • Promote and identify opportunities for organic growth
    • Provide the customer with an excellent business relationship and ensure the customer's satisfaction.
Critical Qualifications
  • Business, Engineering university degree, or equivalent with 10+ years experience
  • Minimum 10 years experiences in:
    • Providing technical leadership and developing performance, capacity and scalable architectures
    • Effective deployments of large / complex Information & Communication Technology (ICT) solutions
    • Communicating effectively to technical and executive stakeholders
