Do you dream of revolutionizing merchant services within the Canadian credit union ecosystem? Are you a relationship-driven leader with a passion for payments and a deep understanding of what makes credit unions tick? This is your chance to make a real impact.

CUPAY, Canada's first and only merchant services program built by and for credit unions and their members, is seeking a dynamic Partnership Lead. CUPAY is a strategic partnership between League Savings & Mortgage (LSM), a B Corp certified, credit union-owned company, and Payment Acceptance Solutions Inc. (PAS), bringing together the strengths of both organizations to transform how credit unions serve their business members. If you're ready to build something big from the ground up, this is your opportunity.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As the Credit Union Partnership Lead, you'll be a driving force behind CUPAY's growth. Reporting to the Vice President, Digital & Payments, you will cultivate and nurture strategic partnerships with credit unions, championing CUPAY as the go-to solution for their merchant processing needs.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Become a Credit Union Champion: Proactively identify, develop, and manage deep relationships with credit union partners, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor and payments expert.
  • Empower Credit Unions: Equip credit union partners with the knowledge and resources they need to seamlessly integrate CUPAY and maximize its benefits for their members. Help them understand the competitive landscape and how CUPAY gives them an edge.
  • Drive Growth & Profitability: Collaborate with credit unions to set ambitious yet achievable goals for referral rates and benefits, ensuring the program's long-term financial success.
  • Develop & Execute Strategic Plans: Create and implement impactful launch and annual sales and marketing plans, managing budgets and ensuring consistent brand adherence. This includes refreshing marketing materials and keeping our online presence and social media buzzing.
  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Monitor the competitive landscape, anticipate market trends, and recommend program enhancements to keep CUPAY at the forefront of innovation.
  • Data-Driven Approach: Analyze partner reports, track performance against goals, and provide regular updates to LSM and PAS management.
  • Culture of Collaboration: Contribute to a collaborative environment, both internally and with our credit union partners.
  • Merchant-First Focus: Uphold CUPAY's core values of fairness, trust, and equality in all your interactions.

ABOUT YOU:

  • You understand the needs of merchants and the dynamics of the competitive payments environment.
  • You're a customer-centric sales and service expert with a proven track record.
  • You excel at building and maintaining strong, productive relationships.
  • You're a clear and concise communicator, able to simplify complex concepts.
  • You operate with integrity and transparency.
  • You're analytical and possess strong financial acumen.
  • You're passionate about payment technology and the evolving digital commerce landscape.
  • Experience in financial services and/or credit unions, particularly with small and medium-sized businesses, is a definite asset.
