Engineer, Operations - Eastward Energy, Dartmouth

What You Will Do:

As an Engineer, Operations, you will play an essential role within our Operations team, reporting to the Director, Operations & CNG. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Acting as a technical resource to support the work of Operations and CNG field Staff.
  • Coordinating the annual system integrity project work.
  • Becoming the subject matter expert on measurement tools and software.
  • Developing operating manuals and making periodic revisions to those manuals based on updated procedures or best practices.
  • Creating system maintenance work orders.
  • Demonstrating creative problem solving to find solutions that will work best for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensuring Eastward Energy is in conformance with industry requirements, reviewing codes, standards, equipment, and material specifications while also assisting in the development of technical training.

What You Will Need to Succeed:

This position has the following occupational requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering;
  • Registration with the province of Nova Scotia as an EIT, as a minimum, with hands-on experience through co-ops during school, summer jobs or recent post-graduation industry experience; and
  • A valid Nova Scotia Class 5 Driver's License.
